Having this much space to write about myself is…uncomfortable. I much prefer telling you about other people — their lives, quirks, and habits are much more interesting (and less embarrassing) than my own.
It is probably important that I was born and raised in Canada, in a large family in a small house. Until we became a smaller family in a larger house, because my older siblings were considerably older and moved on to homes of their own.
I like cats (mostly) and dogs on a case-by-case basis. I have one of each and am rather fond of both.
I also like children, though I have a preference for my own, which I’m told is a natural bias.
I adore chocolate and coffee, and can be (and have been) bribed to do just about anything with enough of both or either as incentive.
I am, as I’m learning, an intensely private person, which makes this whole exercise even more difficult than I could have begun to imagine.
I will try to participate in some Thursday 13s so you can learn the ever-fascinating truths about me like
13 Bands I listen to when writing
my 13 favourite numbers
my 13 favourite flavours of ice cream (how many of them will be chocolate?!)
I will even try to keep that list updated with links as I participate…which will teach you that one of my favourite procrastination techniques is web design and updates…
and one of my favourite things to procrastinate doing is…updating my website and links.
Welcome to my world.
